
Dixie Chassay Casting agency is currently looking to cast black male and female dancers for the play “A Season in the Congo” which will be performed at The Young Vic.
The play was written by Aimé Césaire about the rise and fall of legendary leader Patrice Lumumba whose passionate determination to free his people from Belgian rule inspired great courage and betrayal.
“A Season in the Congo” will be directed by Joe Wright the BAFTA Award winning director (Anna Karenina, Atonement, Pride & Prejudice).
Rehearsals will commence in May with the Play opening on 6 July and running until 10 August 2013. Dancers need to be of African/Caribbean origin and should be aged 18-40 years. Dancers should also be London-based. Naturally, this is a paid opportunity.
