MAKING TRACKS 2009: DANCE-MAKING IN APD
Making Tracks is designed for participants with at least 3 years’ dance experience or professional experience in any dance style. Classes will focus on context, technique and presentation All traditional classes will be accompanied by live drumming.

The full Making Tracks 2009 programme is available for £200 for the week. A £50 deposit is required to secure a place for the full week’s programme. A performance/sharing of the work will take place at the end of the week to an invited audience.

MAKING TRACKS PROFESSIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL
Making Tracks is a one-week Professional Summer School in African Peoples Dance & Music for intermediate dance students and professionals. Immerse yourself in African and Caribbean dance with additional classes in Dance Fusion and Street/Hip-Hop.

MASTER CLASSES
In order to provide dance practitioners with a unique programme of professional development dance training within APD, IRIE! has hand-picked some of the finest tutors in the field based in the UK.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS
The course will explore a variety of traditional and contemporary dance music styles, investigating basic influences through the teaching of authentic movement that will be used to develop material for performance and delivery.
