IRIEAdults DANCE PROJECT

Dance for Adults - NEW Program

IRIEAdults is a 10-week dance project specifically for adults.  It’s a special opportunity for adults to express and develop their creativity through dance.  You don’t need any previous experience just a love of dance and bags of enthusiasm!

Taught by IRIE! dance theatre’s professional dance tutors, over the 10-week period you’ll have the opportunity to learn dance based on IRIE!’s African/Caribbean and Contemporary dance fusion.  You’ll develop your creative, performance and communication skills while enhancing your wellbeing, self-confidence and self-esteem.

“My favourite part was the dance routine and I really enjoyed dancing together as a group.  It was nice to come to class after work and just let all the stresses of the day melt away.”

The initial project culminated with the IRIEAdults performing at FLOW - IRIE!’s Family Learning Open Weekend at the end of March.  The women thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

“I have always wanted to take part in a dance performance like this and I am happy that I got to experience my first performance with a special group.”

They were eager to build upon the foundation that they had established and naturally, IRIE dance theatre is also keen to develop this program.  And so a new 10-week program will begin on Tuesday 20 April.  Sessions run from 7:30-9:00pm.

While the initial project was attended just by women we want to encourage both men and women to take part.  So guys, please don’t be shy.

The cost of the 10-week program is £25.00 and individuals sessions are priced at £3.50.  You make a secure payment using PayPal for either the full program or pay session by session by clicking the appropriate button below:
