PATRISCHIA WARMINGTON - CHAIR
Patrischia Warmington is a ‘born and bred’ resident of LB Lewisham and was one of the first group of 5 young people who entered the Albany Empire Theatre, Douglas Way as part of the ‘Today’ programme with the late Eamon Andrews.
A veteran of the Lewisham Academy of music, she was a resident drama tutor for the Basement Youth Arts Group at the Albany Empire, and went on to become the first external female member of the ‘Black Mime Theatre Company’.
Her employment with the Greenwich Festival lasted for 2 years before her interest in Young People took her to work with Barnardos, and specifically children from families of asylum seekers and refugees
Over the past 14 years she has worked with the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, Government led European Funding and Single Regeneration Project Programmes, and the Big Lottery Fund.
NICKOLOVE LOVEMORE - TREASURER
Nickolove Lovemore, a former member of the Barbados Dance Theatre, has been associated with IRIE! dance theatre since 1993 when she became the company’s first official Education Officer. She then went on to become the company’s first General Manager in 1994.
Nickolove has had several career changes. She has a degree in Chemistry and a masters in Environmental Pollution Control. She is a former Teacher of Chemistry and Integrated Science and was a Research Scientist at the University of the West Indies.
However, Nickolove found her vocation in the field of personal development. She is now a Life Coach and a Certified NLP Practitioner who delivers one-to-one and group coaching programs, workshops and teleseminars.
She is also Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor and has taught for most of the major Health Clubs in London including Holmes Place, David Lloyd and Esporta.
TREVOR MBATHA - BOARD MEMBER
Trevor Mbatha has worked with IRIE! since its inception as a board member and an advisor. He has worked and been involved in the arts for 26 years as a theatre production manager, arts officer, arts and cultural consultant for the Government, film and video documentary producer, and has been a member of various arts advisory boards e.g. London Arts dance adviser.
In the last eight years he has worked in the community and social regeneration sector primarily with housing associations. He is current the Chief Executive of a community regeneration company which is based in the London Borough of Islington.
TONY CORBIN - VICE CHAIR
Anthony Corbin is a former lecturer at Lewisham College where he taught English, Access Courses and Media studies. One of the longest standing board members of IRIE! Tony’s interests are Black History, Drama, Writing & Production; he is also a curator for exhibitions on the history of black people as well as equalities officer for UCU, the lecturers’ union.
