DANZATÓN: WE MOVE FOR COLOMBIA
Join us for four hours of dance, music and solidarity at IRIE! dance theatre. Professional artists will share rhythms from Colombia, the Caribbean and Africa, creating a joyful space where everyone can dance, connect and make a difference.
Funds raised will support two communities in Colombia:
The Cantadoras de Yurumanguí, an Afro-Colombian community in Buenaventura, where several women lost their homes and are facing significant hardship. The support will be delivered through cultural leader Nidia Góngora.
Indigenous communities in Chocó that have been displaced by violence and are living without reliable access to electricity or safe drinking water. Through Robe L Ninho, the funds will help provide solar panels and water purification systems.
