Come and join the MA Diasporic Dance Styles for a series of Open Morning Classes, experience wonderful artists and explore the MA course. We are also very excited to be hosting ‘Marimbea’ a traditional Colombian Company currently on tour to London, who will also be teaching an additional workshopin collaboration with Somos Chibchas Arts.
Experience the cultural richness of the Afro-Colombian communities of the Pacific through a traditional dance workshop featuring Bunde and Bambuco Viejo. Bunde is a vibrant rhythm of praise with communal roots, while Bambuco Viejo tells a romantic story through elegant partner movements. Live music will accompany the session, allowing participants to connect deeply with the spirit and storytelling of each dance.
