Cancellation Policy

The Moonshot Centre is owned by Lewisham Council and Managed by IRIE! Dance Theatre (IRIE!). IRIE! provides access to the Moonshot Community Centre as a resource to benefit the widest possible range of communities and residents. IRIE! aims to provide an environment in which hirers of and staff working in the Moonshot Community Centre are: • safe from harm • free from discrimination • free from harassment • able to make full use of the shared facilities of the premises • fully aware of their rights and responsibilities with respect to each other 1.2 These terms and conditions set out what is expected of hirers and IRIE! to ensure the above can be delivered. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions of use may result in withdrawal of services or termination of the hire agreement. IRIE! reserves the right to refuse an application if the intended use contravenes IRIE!’s policies in operation at the time or exceeds the scope of the planning permission for the premises (e.g. trading activities and parties). IRIE! reserves the right to cancel bookings when the premises are required e.g. for use as a polling station, rest centre in emergencies, public meetings or are unfit for the intended use. IRIE! reserves the right to cancel a booking if it reasonably believes that these terms and conditions of hire will be broken by the hirer or by persons associated with the hirer. IRIE! reserves the right to allow the use of other parts of the premises during the period of hire and to allow for use of all communal areas, by prior arrangement with the hirer. IRIE! reserves the right to request additional information as it deems necessary and to make enquiries of external bodies so as to satisfy itself of compliance with the current terms and conditions. On confirming a booking, arrangements will be made for payment instructions to be issued to you. Payment shall be made in the ways described in the instructions. Hirers must be aged 18 or over. Proof of age may be requested at any stage during the bookings process. The hirer shall be responsible for: • the supervision of the premises, fabric and contents • the care of persons and safety from damage of the premises • behaviour of all persons using the premises The premises shall not be used, without prior agreement from IRIE!, for any other purpose or in any other manner than that stated in the hire agreement. The hirer is expected to occupy the premises in accordance with the space.
